How does it work?
Your initial consultation includes a review of your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and previous labs (if available). We identify likely causes, discuss testing options if needed, and outline an individualized plan focused on restoring balance and long-term wellness.
What conditions do you treat?
I work with adults seeking support for gut issues, hormone balance, fatigue, sleep problems, stress, metabolic concerns, autoimmune conditions, and overall wellness and longevity. Many patients come with complex or long-standing symptoms that haven’t improved with a conventional approach alone.
Do you take insurance?
Functional medicine visits and specialty labs are typically not covered by insurance. Some standard blood labs may be covered. I take cost into consideration and strive to make functional medicine affordable to all budgets. HSA/FSA funds can be used for consultations, supplements, and many functional labs.
How long does it take to see results?
Many patients see improvements within 4–6 weeks. More chronic or complex issues may take 3–6 months.
Do you offer virtual or telehealth appointments?
Yes. All appointments are virtual. Most functional labs can be completed at home or at a local draw station.
Will I be prescribed medications or supplements?
Yes—when appropriate. As an integrative physician, I prescribe both medications and supplements based on your needs, lab results, and goals.
How often will we meet?
Most patients meet every 4–6 weeks during active treatment. Maintenance visits occur every 3–6 months.
What types of testing do you use?
I use advanced functional labs including GI-MAP, DUTCH Test, Metabolomix/OAT, Tiny Health, and Adrenocortex Stress Profile. Traditional blood work is also ordered when helpful. For more complex diagnoses, I also use Cyrex Laboratories.
Do you create personalized treatment plans?
Yes! Every plan is tailored to your biochemistry, lifestyle, history, budget, and goals.
Can functional medicine help if I’m already working with other doctors?
Yes. Functional medicine complements conventional care and can integrate with your existing providers. I trained and practiced in the conventional medicine world for 20 years and I am comfortable collaborating with your primary care doctor or specialist.
What is the cost of a supplement plan?
Pricing varies based on support and testing. Most starting protocols are 90 days. Average monthly spending is $200–400.
